I remember the monuments to the soldiers from Michigan who fought at Gettysburg. One regiment, the 16th Michigan, was at the center of Little Round Top while the 20th Maine famously held the left.

Someone please kick Kid Rock in the nuts on behalf of those sons of Michigan who fought for the Union?
