Although I do not believe that Senator Sanders will win the Democratic nomination, I’m really glad he is running. In my opinion, he drags Secretary Clinton to the Left and forces her to engage in serious policy discussions while campaigning. In most other western countries, the fact that he is a socialist would be a non-issue. In Canada, we have parties which are much further to the left than the Democrats and it’s no big deal.
