So many people didn’t want to take this seriously because they hated HRC that much and they still don’t because of that. Trump could say he asked for Putin’s help because he wanted to defeat HRC at all costs and FNC would cheer it on and suggest that Putin was heroic for helping Trump.

Think about it; Opposition to HRC was almost never based on “we disagree with her legislative record as a Senator” or “we take task with her policy and personnel decisions as Secretary of State” but rather “She’s a criminal! Put her behind bars!”
