I read something on neuroscience a while back that said there is only one way to escape that. Basically if they were jerks you have to work not to be one yourself.

Roseanne and Mel obviously aren’t trying at all.

AND IT IS SO FREAKING HARD. There is an e-card going around social media that says something like “sometimes, I open my mouth and my mother speaks.”

And looking in the mirror as one ages —OMG! I purposly keep my hair long because I look too much like my mother when it is short.

And her mannerisms! The very things that drive me crazy, I do.

Years of counselling, meds, introspection and STILL!!!!!
