OMG. I just saw a photo of that poor boy in lying in the street. It is breaking my heart.
Is it true that they approached him on suspicion of shoplifting and they shot him as he was putting his hands in the air?

I can’t find any real coverage on it.

I’ve seen a couple of witness statements. No one has said anything about shoplifting. The police aren’t saying anything.

One witness, Dorian Johnson, said that a cop car pulled up to the kid and told him to “get the fuck on the sidewalk” because he was walking in the street. At some point the cop grabbed the kid by the neck and tried to pull him into the cop car. The kid ran and got shot while being chased, then stopped and held his hands up, then got shot again.
