One more thing about my dad before I close the laptop for a bit. Yes, I love him dearly, but he and my mom only watch Fox. She put Megyn Kelly on last night and said, “Bill, it’s your girlfriend!” (So the T&A aspect does work)

As I was leaving today, he asked me again to reconsider taking some of my guns home with me…especially my .44-40, as it’s lever action and the safest gun a person can have (seriously…you can’t accidentally shoot yourself until you put a round in the chamber). Anyway, his reasoning? In the next few years we’re going to have race riots. Race riots. Ugh.

My mom is buying 3 Springfield 9mm pistols so she’ll have one at the ready on every floor in her house. A couple of years ago she was convinced there were going to be race riots when Obama lost the election. Her and my stepdad are pretty wingnutty. It used to be whenever I’d visit or they’d come down here and we went back to their place or hotel room they’d have left Fox News on the entire time they were gone. They eventually stopped after I kept teasing them about it, asked if they were trying to brainwash the furniture, afraid the sofa and minibar might rise up in a class revolt.
