And others. I think part of Hillary’s problem all year is that her public supporters just can’t give an unqualified, passionate endorsement. It’s always larded with hemming and hawing, limits and imperfections. That doesn’t play well even with those who are aware of and try to correct for Poe’s Law.

(Of course, another part is that her previous detractors, like the junior Senator from Vermont or most writers for major newspapers, lied when they accused her of corruption, self-dealing and cowardice, but won’t admit it because they think such admissions would reflect badly on them. That really limits the number of people who can take their change of heart seriously.)
