Another thing to consider is that the Iranian general was not the only one killed in the attack. The leader of the Shia militia in Iraq also was killed, and here on Czech radio, they said that his power and influence was comparable to that of Iraq’s Prime Minister.

That Shia militia falls under the PMU, which is officially a branch of the Iraqi security forces; the US attacked not only Iran but Iraq as well. From what I’m hearing on Czech news, the Iraqi government is rumored to be convening in order to draft a bill to demand that the US get the fuck out of their country.
