When King World took over from Merv, Pat and Vanna didn’t ask for a raise but King World gave them stock options. Pat and Vanna heard rumors about King World starting a talk show with a Chicago success named Oprah Winfrey. Pat and Vanna kept picking up additional stock options…and then they cashed them in.
