Why do you say that. If you saw a poll that at disproportionate number of baristas were going to vote Democratic would you blame Republican voters for not taking those jobs?

Are you implying that Republican members of the armed forces are potentially disloyal?

(I assume that police, in general, but especially in the US are RWA thugs. It doesn’t matter who joins the police — they will always be the wrong people — what matters is who, and how firmly, controls the police).

(True story: My uncle, who was admittedly wet, joined the police because he wanted to serve the community, but never got beyond being a cadet because he said he didn’t like arresting people. Then he went to work as an orderly in an insane asylum, met his future wife and they lived happily ever after).

Baristas aren’t jobs that have an impact on how the country is run.

Let me start with the disclamer “Not all Democrats” because a number of us here served in the military, including me.

Democrats right now tend to have an aversion to serving in the military and the police, because of the nature of the two. But the only good way to influence what happens in them is to serve and move up the ranks into leadership positions. Otherwise you end up with the police forces we have now.
