PETA Wishes Obama Hadn’t Swatted That Fly

PETA is sending President Barack Obama a Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher, a device that allows users to trap a house fly and then release it outside.

Oh PETA. PETA, PETA, PETA. sigh.

I truly can’t think of another political organisation that does its own cause more harm than good.

Why can’t they start out with the use of chimps and monkeys in medical experiments or something? The mistreatment of dogs and cats and horses? Causes that virtually everyone would be sympathetic to. Fur. And then work their way up to raising awareness about animals more generally?

It’s their focussing on stuff like flies and renaming fish ‘seakittens’ that makes people automatically dismiss their all their claims. What a waste.
