Here’s some info on that version of Captain Marvel. It isn’t terribly clear, but I think the “holocaust” mentioned on the cover is some intergalactic thing, but probably analogous to whatever.

I must say, the X-Men movies made infinitely more sense to me after I understood that Magneto is a survivor.

Argued with Buzzsawmonkey over that, he thinks the films are anti-Semitic.
