Well, to their credit, even a sizeable portion of our left-leaning friends understand very basic things like “golly we can’t just retire whenever we want and ask the government for unlimited money once we decide to retire”.
Rioting over a 62YO retirement age…ah, Europe…where the left thinks that the State can make every dream come true and where the right takes their fascism seriously. But sitting in a French cafe with an incredible cappucino and a croissant straight from the oven makes it all better…
What’s the retirement age in the US? It’s 65 here but I think you can do it at 60 but not get full benefits. Of course deals with respective job places run the spectrum. My Dad retired at 53, with a full pension deal. Some sort of early retirement plan that was part of some sort of downsizing and reorganization plan.
