More along the lines of them trying to have such a small staff that one person is unable to care for 7 ~ 8 ventilator patient effectively and being fired for being unable to do so. There is state inspection of the facility today and the low staff numbers are “ok” if it’s because they have openings.

Plus some wage fraud like that of Walmart (forcing people to continue to work after clocking out). She knows a specialized attorney (old family friend) so we’ll call him later this AM.

So its them trying to cover their asses ahead of an inspection. Those kind of announced inspections are far too often dog-and-pony shows. Though you might want to contact the state agency in question. Stories such as your wife’s might make for light reading for the inspectors as they write their reports.
