We got the Spanish and Italian thing in separate incidents. Long Island and upstate New York. New Jersey was a little better but we first moved into this one bad neighborhood there first. In long Island this group of kids stormed to our front yard chanting “uga mugga meatball MAFIA… ungi ungi ah-ah-ah!” Not making this up. It was strange. They were kids. Then they egged our house a few weeks later. Then it stopped.
