Some of this will have to be looked at locally. A lot of whites in conservative states decided that standing up for DACA rather than keeping the government open was a bad thing. They may not want to deport Dreamers, but it better not inconvenience them.

IIRC, though, wasn’t both Doug Jones performance and the elections in VA outside the range of registered voters polling?
