I can only agree, especially here in the Rhine Valley, where it is fine and flat as long as you stay along the river but gets terribly steep whenever you turn off.

Europe has strict power regulations, 250W?, where the US allows 750W output.. I can handle up to about 20% grades, preferably not for a long haul. Hills are where mid-drive bikes do better, I have a hub motor on the back wheel.
