Hope you’re right. But I’m afraid there are a lot of idiot/ignorant/low-information independents out there, some of whom can be convinced by this type of crap. If a Republican wins fair and square, fine. But if he/she wins in part by exploiting these fears, it will be a low point in our electoral history.
