I was really hoping for an elaboration on how exile to a Siberian GULAG is equivalent to confinement on a sovereign reservation. I’m sure the Indians would jump at the chance to go to Siberia, right?

Let’s not pretend that the Indians weren’t utterly fucked over and expelled from their ancestral lands, the expulsion of the Dakota from Minnesota, the Trail of Tears, etc.

The point should be that one can’t use the shitty treatment of people to justify the shitty treatment of other people. Nobody actually interested in arguing on the basis of principles and logic does that.
