Honestly, I’m tired of the party’s progressive wing always bitching about being betrayed. Maybe if you guys actually voted more often or worked hard to get your candidates elected on the basis of something other than ideological purity, the party leaders would take you seriously. Politics is more than just issues. It’s people.

Welcome to my world, HW. You gotta learn to not let the “PURITY NOW!!1” crowd get to you. They don’t and won’t understand that in order to govern compromises have to be made. Trying to teach them as a whole is a waste of time, but sometimes individuals gain enough perspective that they can be educated. Focus on those people and ignore the slogan shouters.
