I’m wondering if some under-the-table help with comint might be helping the Ukrainians target these bigwigs. They may be doing it on their own, too, especially since the Russians’ pathetic performance could reasonably be expected to electronic security.

Btw, I don’t particularly like the idea of targeting these guys individually, asshole Putinists though they are. It’s war, though. You aren’t supposed to like it.

I’m pretty sure Ukrainians are getting all the help the West can give with intel. My understanding is that there’s a one-hour intelligence loop, just enough time to sanitize whatever needs to be sanitized from the data, and then the results passed on to Ukraine.

Those generals are military Command and Control targets. They are far more responsible for the war and its conduct than some conscript in a tank. I don’t see any ethical or legal problem targeting them personally.
