1965,, recruiting office in Cambridge Mass,, my sisters gay friend (God rest his soul) signed up so he could go to Vietnam,.,he wasn’t “asked”

1972,,, recruiting office in Chelsea Massachusetts,,, me and three friends ,, NON of us were ‘asked”

So ,, it may have been a “policy” but it wasn’t enforced 100% of the time
