What’s sad (to me) is his supporters in that DKos thread appear, in no way, to be the government hating crowd. They love him for Snowden and all else is forgiven. Some see him on a topic by topic basis vis a vis his work. Some feel as I do, that he’s a defensive, self serving schmuck who is ways part of the story, and there is no story without him being close to the center). But far too many give him a complete pass, excusing all the stuff they’d normally completely deride him over.

It must be his sparkly, effervescent personality.
