A while back we saw discussion of Katie Britt’s “baby fundie voice” and how that was a deliberate effort by right wing christian women to appear submissive to the men around them. I’d like to see more discussion of the “fundie glamour” look that all the Trumpy women take on. Lara Trump, Ivanka Trump, Melania Trump, Kim Guillfoyle, Kristie Noem, and so many others have this same look of massive amounts of makeup, twirled long hair, and puffed up lips. And you see the women who show up in photos of the parties at Mar a Lago, and it’s more of the same.

It’s cultish.

They’re submission-signaling.
