Sometime in 83/84 we went out to the field with C rations. Midway through the ex we were issued MRE’s. I preferred the CRats.

I had an MRE a few times. We had a coffee maker on the -135 and we could pour hot water directly into the bag.

Some were OK, but most were Meals Revolting to Eat. I heard they got better in later days.
