Blago understands something very important about impeachment: it’s a political process. He’s reaching out to the public. That’s the correct strategy. Whether he’s credible is a different question. He could borrow from Bill Clinton’s playbook during his impeachment, and get Larry Flynt to offer a bounty for information about the sex lives of the Illinois legislature. Then he could blackmail them for an acquittal.

Unless, of course, he already has the dirt on them …
