I have to disagree with at least some of your analysis there.

Keith Olbermann & Ed Schulz are also liberal, but they’re both too bombastic for me. They are clearly catering to the Democratic base.

I also like Chris Mathews. The guy is often over-the-top and sometimes doesn’t understand a topic he’s covering, but you can tell that he *loves* politics. He’s very entertaining to watch.

The only guy I can watch on the FNC is Shep. He’s like a beacon of sanity in a channel full of lunacy.

I’ll agree about Shep, and he earned a special place in my heart when he mocked Beck and Fox for the ‘fear chamber’. But Chris Matthews is the epitome of lazy beltway journalism to me. I often like Olbermann’s special comments but I can’t bear to watch him, and Ed Schultz is a nut— he’s not pandering to the Dem base but to the left’s version of the Glenn Beck audience, in a way.
