I’m pretty confident that won’t happen. The GOP and Democratic parties are institutionalized into the government sector, so the GOP won’t go away; it will just change when the elderly white base it depends on for votes can’t support it anymore. Libertarians have no chance of becoming a major party because its goal of eliminating domestic programs is toxically unpopular and has already been pushed about as far as the Republicans can take it, as we see with the teachers’ backlash in WV, Ky and Oklahoma.

I tell my libertarian friends who are libertarian in ideology but not really active with the party that their stands on those issues is what kills them from having any chance. Privatize pretty much everything isn’t a solution. It’s a platitude.
