Nitpick. Manchin is a pain because he provides the 50th necessary vote, but there is no chance in Hell of WV electing a liberal Democrat to the Senate. The next Senator from WV when Manchin leaves will almost certainly be a fascist, and if Manchin had not been in the Senate, nothing Biden proposed would’ve passed at all.

Because again, our Senate grants disproportional representation to rural states, which, at least since the Reagan Era, have voted overwhelmingly GOP.

That was not always the case, and Georgia is proof that it can start to go the other way.
