That paints an amazing picture. My first thought, though, was of the Christopher Lloyd character in last year’s movie Nobody where a seemingly zoned out Lloyd gets attacked by Russian mafia in his retirement home and he pulls a sawed-off out from under his blanket in his darkened room where he had been sleeping in front of the TV.

Years ago, I was invited to Boseman MT by a friend from the Bowsite, to hunt. I stayed at his place, where he and his wife each had a loaded gun on their nightstand, as well as a loaded shotgun behind the door. I made sure I didn’t have to get up in the night to pee.

I had not yet seen “Snatch”, so the line didn’t occur to me, but now when I remember that, I think of Turkish asking Tommy what he needed a gun for.

“Protection!”

“Protection? From what? Zee Germans?”
