re: #155 Belafon
The truly annoying thing about Linux as a software developer is having to reset everything up after your hard drive dies. Nothing comes with an installer on Linux. I don’t really want to have to think about where to put the current Java version and get everything pointed toward it.
I’m pondering trying to find a semi-cheap laptop that I can put Linux on. My current Chromebook has issues running Ubuntu (stuck at 12.04, can’t run VM’s due to a kernel bug, no swap just however much real memory there is, etc) but it’s not easy finding one that can just work with a decent harddrive & memory. I don’t need a firebreathing cpu but an easy to upgrade disk & ram would be really nice.
Anyone got any suggestions?
