That or maybe they were hoping that Romney would somehow embarrass himself in the debates. It’s the only logic that seems to make any sense at this point.

But at the last debate they weren’t even allowed to criticize each other. That blew my goddamn mind.

And none of the GOP voters seem to mind that these debates are just an exercise in eating cotton candy.
