No, handle things like the Ottomans did nearly 200 years ago. The Wahhabi ideology wouldn’t recover from the damage the Ottomans inflicted until the 70’s, a full 150-160 years after the Ottoman-Saudi War.

The Wahhabi ideology was far more isolated 200 years ago then it is today; plus, you’d never get away with wholesale massacres like one could a couple of centuries ago. Hell, even European powers thought nothing of mass slaughter. Now there’s world opinion to contend with.

The only way to beat the Wahhabis is to promote alternative variants of Islam; Sufism, etc. Hell, even the Ahmaddiyya, even though they’re pretty far from being ‘orthodox’ Muslims…..nonetheless, they’re largely pacifistic. Education is also important. Radical ideologies are best defeated with books, not bullets.
