Personally, I would advise not throwing out a bomb statement and then disappearing. If you have Jewish relatives and friends who only condemn Holocaust related hatred and denial and turn their backs on other issues of hate then they are idiots. But they are not idiots because they are Jews. They are likely influenced by their liberal passions and not their Jewish identity. I found your comment a bit odd actually. Kind of juvenille, like ‘well this guy is bad, but I know Jews who are bad, too’.

I think his point is you can be a bigoted idiot and still be a Jew. So why can’t you be a bigoted idiot Catholic? This guy does not speak for church anymore than any other lay person.

Neither religions make a point of punting bigots. They need people to fill the seats at Temple/Church.
