Yes. Because if a mother loses her son in a war we should expect her to react exactly as we would expect her to act for her loss. Which leaves me wondering how should she react? Is there some kind of social standard that people have to adhere to? Or maybe I’m misreading something here.

I think she’s never recovered or even properly grieved, and that she’s channeled all that into political activism. I have a hard time criticising her for that very reason. I think she needs help and has been exploited by others.
