Yeoman Rand has died, age 85.

I did not know her alcoholism led to her being she was written out of ST:TOS. She later became an alcoholic. After she sobered up, she came back as Rand in the movies.

She is one of the characters I remember the most. Everytime I sign a UPS gadget acknowledging that I received my package —or one of those things at all the stores now thru which I swipe my credit card and sign.
