I hate to be a party-pooper, but how do we know that the Russian’s were behind this most recent attack? China managed to get access a few years back to sensitive systems, but how did they really know that attacks come from one country to another? I mean it’s easy to forge IP addresses to make attacks appear from anywhere.

As it stands today, the current Internet as we know it is forever broke, as there is zero security at the proper layers of the protocol stack to prevent attacks.
