re: #115 Hecuba’s daughter

Although the Washington Post and NY Times each have flaws, it’s not as though there is some other daily publication that will provide in-depth news and a consistent set of editorial/opinion page columns that we can all accept. If they go, the available news sources will be even worse than today. Do you really want to rely on the Murdoch WSJ whose editorial policy has been disgraceful for forever? Tell me — what other news organization has the resources and the appropriate point of view for a daily paper of record?

I always subscribe to the local newspaper when and where I reside, and the NYTimes. I don’t read NYTimes political comment - as except during the pentagon papers - historically its political coverage has been conservative mush.

My current local paper is the Nashville Tennessean, in which I was pleased to find they still publish daily comics strips.
