If conservative thought was that dependent on two people, it was already in trouble.

Their deaths may be a great loss, but if it forces each person to understand that they must be, to borrow a phrase, an “army of one,” that is a good long-term result.

Conservative thought IS in trouble when you have vocal segments of the party insisting on creationism in the classrooms, and that being a conservative means you’re a fundamentalist Christian, and who call anyone who doesn’t agree with their version of conservatism a RINO.

Yes- the conservative movement is in trouble, deep trouble. Hence my post that this nightmare has just begun.
