I’ve been following the conversation that Jamesfirecat brought up about politicians spouses and as much as I don’t like it, the spouses don’t have much of a right to privacy. IMO there have been far too many spouses that made money because of the politician in the family. I think that with a spouse that obviously has another occupation (like Joe Bidens wife for example) then we can check them out and turn our attention somewhere else. But if a politician has a lobbyist or something like it as a spouse then they shouldn’t expect not to be checked out.

Forget the family values and follow the money.
