re: #156 jordash1212

Palestinians are feeling increasingly alienated in the international community and we all know they are incapable of blaming themselves and their own leadership, and Hamas, the Turkish, and Iranian-Lebanese governments are kind of extending them an olive branch right now, so guess who they can very easily blame after the flotilla incident: Israel.

For a while there they actually thought the Jordanians and Egyptians would act in their interests, but both ended up signing peace treaties with Israel, so that’s out the window. Hardliner Israeli politics only makes it easier for the Palestinians to blame the Israelis. I’m not asking for unconditional Israeli acquiescence. I’m asking for pragmatism (i.e. Kadima) in place of rigid ideological boundaries (i.e. Likud).

I have to repeat: Kadima fucked up with their “pragmatic” policies (like abandoning Gaza). That is why they are not in control now. Giving them a second chance to repeat what they already did only guarantees they will fuck up again.

Giving the Palestinians “some stuff” only results in their demanding “more stuff.”

Have you noticed that the Palestinian demands have shifted from “get rid of all settlements” to “Right of Return”?
