Agreed! But can it be restricted under freedom of speech? Yes, they’re shitheads. Yes, it’s awful. Yes, it’s hateful. Yes, it’s painful to the families and friends of the dead.

But it’s just speech. And protected. Sucks, doesn’t it? The law will never pass Constitutional muster. Typical election year legislation, when there is so much more important work to do.

Considering “fighting words” is an accepted exception to the First Amendment, and the fact that I can’t see anything designed to incite violence more than people at a soldier’s funeral saying he deserved to die because of teh ghey……I’m good with the “ban.”
