Why is it every company whose services actually work well for me, has to go out and prove what a bunch of assholes they really are?

I’ve considered talking with my folks about dropping the rest of our Verizon services once or twice. Came to mind around the time we decided to try to trade our 5 yr old cellphones in for smartphones and found out that we’d be paying out the ass for a family of four. Even if we just got two smartphones, it still was going to be at least double what we were already paying.
