The tank on the right is equipped with the ‘EDZ’ 1st generation Explosive Reactive Armor (ERA), while the one on the left has the 2nd Generation package. Most of the tanks in the slideshow have 1st Gen ERA, which is still decently effective against infantry anti-tank weapons, though less so against vehicle-launched missiles.

But Putin’s movin’ a great deal of force into place opposite Maripol. Don’t know what Russia’s up to, but it can’t be good.
