Thing thing about Trump he’s not like other candidates that can be muzzled by cutting off the cash flow. Trump has enough cash to effectively bankroll his own campaign if he needs to. The RNC can do absolutely NOTHING about him. Trump has them by the balls and he knows it.

At this point they’d have to destroy him personally which means destroying themselves organizationally. I mean just go after him with a metaphorical claw hammer, unleash the fucking Kraken, make a big deal about the Nixon / Ford DOJ housing lawsuit and encourage every insider to vent every story about his racism over the years. That means being willing to perform a radical political amputation, cutting their white supremacist base of support off mid thigh and then cauterizing the stumps with a blowtorch.

The thing is they know they can’t do that and still have any chance of winning this election, and being the short sighted taint-weasels they are they’re still hoping for a divine intervention.
