If our country is hit by a major natural and/or man-made disaster that disrupts public services over a wide area and/or for a large population, I can see things quickly degenerating into something that resembles Somalia, with armed bands riding about in pickup trucks…

That would be very likely in the reddest states where the police and sheriffs will be sympathetic to the Christian Taliban as they make their move. We need to bring civilization to our failing states.
