I’ll be to bed in a few minutes, but there is an interesting question:

How will the fall of Tripoli affect the already ailing and unstable governments of Syria and Yemen.

What will the fallout be for Algeria, who supported Qaddafi?

Yemen, I can’t say.

Algeria won’t really notice. The now-defeated Islamist insurgencies there are still too recent for the more educated parts of the population to risk revolt.

As for Syria, I echo Varek in saying that Assad would be wise to seek out a bolthole posthaste.
