David Frum lays out his somewhat dubious case against Scottish independence in the pages of the increasingly unreadable The Atlantic.

Ok, obviously there are a lot of strong feelings out there on this topic as evidenced by the page here. Where Frum goes utterly moronic is at the end where he points out that Bill Clinton traveled to Ottawa and spoke out for Canadian unity in 1995 ahead of Quebec’s secession referendum that year:

President Obama has played no equivalent role in the debate over the survival of America’s close ally, the United Kingdom. If the ‘Yes’ vote prevails on September 18, Obama’s omission should be remembered in the postmortem assignment of blame for a potential disaster for the peoples of Britain, Europe, and the Western alliance.

Even Scottish Independence is ultimately just another chapter on “Why Obama Sucks”, the tome every rightwinger is writing everyday.
