Ten years ago today, my dad passed away. I once asked him to randomly chose his favorite memories and favorite things in general, to which he replied, in so many words, (A) being in lascivious love with his wife, (B) winning the Southern Arizona Monday Night League Dart Championships two years in a row, (C) working for George McGovern’s presidential campaign, (D) riding across the desert on his vintage 1940s Indian motorcycle, (E) watching Teletubbies, and (F) kicking back with three fingers of scotch in one hand and a quality cigar in the other and watching the sunset.
