Because I have relatives that benefited from wet foot/dry foot, and others that were part of the Mariel boat lift, I’ve always been pretty much an open borders type on immigration. Might also have something to do with my libertarian leanings (or it may be a chicken and egg thing), but I’ve pretty much always been of the mind set that anyone who wants to come and be part of this crazy experiment should be welcome.
